  • PhD in Culture of Economics, Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Holanda, 2012.
  • Licenciado en Filosofía, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, 1992.
  • Cursos de especialización en Ética Aplicada y Teoría de la Complejidad, Stellenbosch University, Sudáfrica. Cursos de postgrado en Historia del Pensamiento Económico, Institutions of Economics and Culture of Economics en el EIPE, Holanda.

Sus áreas de especialización son Teoría Política y Filosofía Política con énfasis en: Teoría Crítica, Republicanismo, Democracia y Poder, Pensamiento Político Moderno e Historia Conceptual. Se ha desempeñado como investigador visitante en el Institut Für Sozialforschung an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität 2007-2009. Miembro: The History of Concepts Group (formerly the History of Political and Social Concepts Group), The International Political Science Association (IPSA), American Political Science Association(APSA), Asociación Chilena de Ciencia Política, Asociación Chilena de Filosofía.

Specialization courses in Applied Ethics and Complexity Theory, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Postgraduates courses regarding History on Economic Thought, Institutions of Economics and Culture of Economics in EIPE, The Netherlands. His areas of research are Critical Theory, Systems Theory, Republicanism, Modern Political Thought and Conceptual History. He has been a visiting researcher of the Institut Für Sozialforschung an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität 2007-2009. He has participated in the History of Political and Social Concepts Group.
